***1200 gallon reef***

Hey, I'm new to chicago reefs and wanted let you guys see my reef build progress
I am working on a 1200 gallon display tank
about 750 gallon filter system
and it has been a journey

This the Volcano skimmer it is a beast!!!! was used to handle a fish store before

Wow this is one MASSIVE tank! Where is the car wash located? Love to try and swing through sometime and check it out.

Thanks, and we are using metal halides for now but we are going to add the cannon LEDs to supplement Im thinking either 6 or 8 and spotlight them on the rocks and coral
They are the only lights I'm confident will penetrate to the bottom

carwash is at 185 peterson rd, libertyville....Beware when you come though cause of the construction and nobody wants to wait in line lol

You seriously need to consider putting up a sign about having a 1200 gallon tank in there. I would have already stopped in. Want me to bring you a bunch of Xenia? I need a detail badly. Lol

we will after the holidays but the tank is soo young we don't wanna let people down cause the potential is endless '

I'm thinking this spring we will start putting it on the sign

Maybe we can work out a trade lol
