Skimz mini sn143 pump

The pump stopped working out of the blue. The only time I can get it to work is if i have it out of the water and help it spin. Ive read about people replacing the impeller. What im thinking is 1. Replace the pump w/impeller 2. Replace just the impeller. Any suggestion's ?

Try to clean and soak the pump in some vinegar

Try blowing into the air inlet. Thats what i had to do to my old reef octopus. I replaced the impeller and that didnt fix it so if yours does the same thing id assume its the pump

I would go for a new impeller if it was me -- they are pretty cheap and can make it run like new. But first try taking the pump all the way apart and soaking all the pieces in vinegar and giving it a good clean. Since your pump is working when you spin it I bet you can bring it back
