What Did You Do With Your Tank Today?

Big WC & clean up of 2 of my reef tanks. One of them has a bunch of crazy red turf algae I always have to pick out by hand. Mexican turbos eat it but my big Peacock mantis eats the snails. The other reef has a cyano problem, so I'm sucking all of it out & treating with Red Slime Remover. Cleaned all the pumps, including impellers.

My favorite day....Skimmer cleaning day, yuck. Cleaned glass, changed out 5th of 6 bulbs in my fixture.

25 gallon water change. Test. Clean skimmer, changed filter sock. Checked out the new fish store on Milwaukee.

Added some corals, a nice black volitan and worked on the tube anemone tank.

Is the Volitian, coral compatible?

He went in a different tank than the corals, but yes you can keep lions with corals with no problem. Only reason they're not reef safe is they eat smaller fish/shrimp.

WC on my BC29 and 2.5 pico. Glued down some mini kenyans that had been floating around the sand bed.

Corals--yes, shrimp & fish up to their size--no.

I've never kept him with a fish. I did have one once with a 6-line, until it jumped...

I have one with a pair of clowns, and some fuzzy lions, and a leaf fish, never had any problems with her and other fish.

Picked up 9 new frags, glued them to plugs and disks, cut frags from three corals, 45 gallon wc, and some minor aquascaping. Busy day inside the tank and I have several more frags to cut tomorrow.
