Hi everyone. I have an idea. I am a member of Reef Geeks. I haven't been on it in a while with this and 1reef but last summer, we had a large sand trade that was very successful.
Everyone that participated sent a handful of their sand and $5 to one person who put them all in her tank for a certain period of time, a couple months I think. When the time was up, the person used the $5 for each to send a handful of the mixture back to them.
We each got a rick, full-of-life handful of sand for our tanks. The $5 was only to ship the sand back. I got two handfuls for my two tanks.
It was marvelously successful.
Anyone interested in duplicating this endeavor? I cannot because I'm still in my monster reef build. I don't think it would be too much work for one person but I could help with it.
