That is awesome. Question. Are you going to place your sump in the stand? If so, how would you take it out once it is in place?
Thanks Kevin
The sump and everything is going in the basement. That plastic container on the horses behind the stand is going to be my salt mixing tank. I can't wait to make saltwater, add 150 gallons of RO, dump in one box of salt, turn on the pump.

Rick, very nice...When Can I come over?
Mai you're welcome to come over any time you like, as long as I'm home
just give me a call
But I still have mucho work to do, protein skimmer, calcium reactor, salt tank, RO tank, doors on the stand. I just want to get this tank cycling, So I can start moving livestock

Nice plumbing this might be a stupid question but what are all the valves for. Your stand is awesome cant wait to see it finished.

GFO reactor, Carbon reactor, Calcium reactor, refugium, Protien skimmer?, chiller?, I feel that's it easier to add a valve now and never use it than to wish I had one more and have to shut everything down to add it

I was having a problem with the water level in my overflow fluctuating so Steve from Sea Schor told me to get rid of my 90's on my drains and replace them with 45's.

I was using a hofer gurgle buster overflow and the best I could adjust it, it would gurgle loudly once an hour. I couldn't stand it so I ripped them out and replaced them with a Herbie design and so far it has been absolutely silent
YES.

You will be very happy with the Herbie overflow! It works like a charm for me! It took about an hour to get it dialed in perfectly.

Yes I believe it is the way to go, but if I had to do it over I decided Sat evening that I couldn't stand the other system and was going to try the Herbie. I couldn't locate a PVC gate valve. I tried HD,Lowe'ss,Menard'ss, my local tru value, nobody had one let alone one that was 1 1/2 " they are readily availableon linee but I couldn't wait so I used a ball valve. The ball valve works but it took me a long time to get it right. Where as a gate valve would have been much more easy to dial it in

I'm in the same boat as you, I have 3 2" drains and all I could find was ball valves and it took a while. But now that it is set and working, I probably wont touch it!

OK where am I? Things are progressing nice and slow. The tank has cycled and I'm adding things a little at a time. Right now I have 2 clowns, 1 anthias and a yellow watchman gobie in there. I've added mushrooms, zoos, palys, toad stools, Xenia. I can't wait until I can add everything from my other tanks and have only one tank to look after. Downstairs I have completed my saltwater mixing station and did a 60 gallon water change the other day in about 10 minutes with no buckets. It was so nice. I have a 210 gallon tank for RO water hooked up to my RO system with a float valve. Thats plumbed to another 210 tank for mixing saltwater, I can mix a whole bucket of salt into saltwater at once. And that is plumbed into my main pump so I can drain my sump into my sump pump while pumping fresh saltwater into my main tank if I have to do a major water change say 100 gallons or more. Once lights come on I'll try to get some pictures up. I still need to hook up my protein skimmer, refugium, and calcium reactor.
