My first order from them was for a Coralife CF fixture. It arrived quickly via UPS but the bulbs had shattered in transit. I called their customer service number and they had new bulbs to me in two or three days. No cost to me; no photographic proof necessary. I have ordered from them again and I like the flat rate shipping cost. They're located in WI so delivery is always pretty quick to this area I'm guessing.

Foster and smith have always had one of the best customer service. Liveaquaria is also with foster and smith and they have never ever asked me for a picture proof of any dead fish that I called to them. I get most of my supplies from foster and smith.

I ordered $300 worth of stuff once. They shorted me one 200 gal. mixture of salt. I called and they said it was in transit. A week later it still hadn't arrived. I called again and was told that the box of salt never left and that the previous representative was wrong by telling me that. They told me they were going to ship the salt. To my surprice, they duplicated my entire $300 order, including $150 which was frozen food that needed to be fedexed overnight. They also included a letter with an appology for the issue and stated that I would not be billed for the extras! You can't beat that!

I have been to their retail location in Rhinlander WI and it is AWESOME! You can walk into their store and anything that you want that you don't see in the store but you know they carry you can ask and they will literally RUN to the shipping warehouse and get it for you! I have a friend that has worked there for many years and got me a slight hook-up on my JBJ nano 12 DX and he always has pushed my online orders through a little quicker when he sees my name go by! I will always stand by DRS F&S, they are GREAT!

I have ordered many things from Foster and Smith and Liveaquaria and the customer service has always been great.

Liveaquaria has a great website for information on saltwater fish, corals, live rock, etc. I use it often.

only time I dont order dry goods from them is when they dont carry it....every once and awhile there is some food or something they dont carry, so I order from Marine Depot.

They're great and pack their corals well! The only thing... if you need say, something for your dog or cat and want to order a ton of fish stuff, you'll have to pay shipping on the single dog or cat whatever. They're like seperate stores. I think that if I spend $300.00 on fish supplies, they can ship the catnip for free too.

I don't know if you noticed, but forsterandsmithaquatics is now part of just the main drfosterandsmith website, the only thing that is a separate entity now is live aquaria.
