Help! 3 colonies of acans and pulsing Xenia melting

On 4/2 I posted pictures on the trading forum for some frogspawn and green polyps and xenia I was trying to trade. In the last 3 days the Xenia and acans are all melting. Everything else in my tank is doing great. I have no idea what's going on. I've tested everything and things look normal. I also did a 15 gallon water change from my 75 gallon tank on Friday but that didn't help. I am looking for any advice. Thanks reefers.

are the acans receeding back ??

any lighting or location changes ? did you frag them recently ??

need more info as to what changed recently ...:)

They found out you were trying to sell them...but in all seriousness we need a few more details and maybe some photos to help.

You should start by doing a coral dip. Dip every day to try to get them to recover.
Do you have other acans and zoas that are doing good, or are these all of them
Melting?

Xenia is a true live test kit. I keep some in my refugium & they are the first to react on issues with water/parameters/pollutants.
I once had an issue with copper being leached into my system & my xenia were the first to melt although it took me about 4 days to figure out it was problem with a copper wire from my tunze exposed in the tank. A lot of my corals faded, but I was able to recover most & ended up losing all my Xenia.

Thanks for the inquireies. Yah. Sure some info would help

75 gallon
PH 8.3
no nitrates, or nitrites
alk 180 ppm
1.26 slainity, but been there for years and never ben a problem
Zoos are booming right now, wide open and happy
all polyps happy
Just the xenia have retraced and are melting and all the acans have retracted
mushrooms are all booming right now
leathers and frogs are also strong as can be

I appreciate the responses. Gonna stop by Old Orchard aquarium and have them test tomorrow

Why does this **** bother me so much. Its worse than loosing thousands of dollars trying to bottom fish Apple right here ( which is going back to 550)

Anyway, I wll post back when I find the problem and maybe it will help someone else

Please dont go to Old Orchard Aquarium. They suck! Youre in HP, so you are better off going to Fish Planet in Deerfield

After a thorough test of everything, it appears my magnesium was low which may be effecting the corals ability to intake calcium. I have been dosing mag everyday and it appears that they are fighting back. My salinity was also off and I have been adding fresh to bring it down. Thanks for some of the input and moral support. Old Orchard Aquarium is an awesome store. They were the ones that tested every single thing possible. There were atually three guys trying to help. Good people there....most of the time.
