Ro / DI recomendations

I was wondering if a ro/DI setup is a 100% must have or is there a way to get by without one for a bit once I get started.

If you mean as opposed to using tap water then yes its a 100% must have. Otherwise you can buy rodi water from your lfs but that will cost more in the long run and its really inconvenient.

I run a 4 stage from buckeye field supply. They're 100 GPD model runs 177$ and includes a pressure gage and RO flush valve. They also throw in a handheld TDS meter.

They also carry the inline TDS meter and just about every fitting you can imagine. I've even bought my refractometer from them. Everything I've bought off the site seems to be of high quality, and they ship out of Ohio so I always see the package come the very next day.
