Ordered a Bubble Magus NAC8 skimmer today. I REALLY like my NAC6 but I cracked the volute coming off the pump (figured out why the pump seemed "weak") and instead of buying a $60 pump I decided to just upgrade!
Pretty excited to see how this will perform on my system with the bio-pellets. I'm just REALLY hoping my Swabbie will fit on this new skimmer or I can get Justin at Avast Marine to retrofit the Swabbie motor onto the new skimmer top.

Of course I'll keep you all updated with photos, videos, and a comparison review!

I have a reef octopus 3000, do they fit all skimmer brands? Also what happens to the gunk that they "squeegee" off the neck? I would be willing to bet my skimmer collects about 2/3s of the solid crap on the inside of its neck, and so (as I too run bio pellets) I am having to clean it about every day in order to keep that surface smooth. Thanks for any info!
