How big of a tank do you have?If they are nice and plump when you buy them, you have a batter chance at weening one onto frozen/flakes/algea much easier than getting a skinny idolGood luck.

Do you have an address for them?My folks live out there and when i go work on my car maybe i can swing by there.

Aquascape Chicago
(815) 474-0558
23956 S Northern Illinois Dr, Channahon, IL 60410

The guy that opened it said he will order anything you want and will be cheaper than anywhere else. Im still waiting on my idol but he said will be this week. The # for the business is his cell phone and he accepts texts. I currently have a 125g but setting up 210g this week hopefully, I just built the stand and stain is drying on it. Hope to get it plumbed up this week.

Well it's great that you are trying a odd set of MI's but in time they will become more territorial as they grow, trust me I've tried it in a 450 tank 8ft wide and 39" tall and it was only a matter of time before only the strongest one would survive.
My last Morrish idol has been doing very well in the tank for the last year or so now and eats anything from nori to pellets, and flake food.
I know these are probably one of the most difficult fish to keep alive in captivity, but if you do, be very happy that you accomplished something that most can't do at all.
In a very good manner I do wish you good luck to keep them alive as long as I have had mine. And keep us updated with lots of pictures.

Update 12/07/11:

Finally the 2small idols are eating!!!!!!!!I went out and bough oysters/clams/mini-clams and the usual mussells and put one of each in there and the new ones went right after the mini-clams and the oyster. My Big established idol tries to chase them away and fill himself to the brim.I'm super glad and very happy they started eating and holding their ground.

Is there such a thing as an obese fish?I don't know if letting all my fish eat alot is a bad thing long term? The moorish idol, powder blue, rabbitfish and a velvet damsel seem very round(fat) as of lately.

Should i cut back a little or wait till the little idols get used to the hectic pace the rest of the fish eat at?

If your skimmer is large enough I would feed extra, whats not eaten will at least get pulled out, at least there would be more than enough than less.
Good to hear that the 2 samller ones eating also.

Yeah shaun,i had originally bought those 2from hidden reef for myself, but they were small and he took them,i knew they were eating, but would also get beat up cause of their size, these are both 4''+ and his are 2 1/2-3'',so i'm happier with this outcome. My big moorish is close to 7''.
