Can I get an ID please?

Hi

I obtained a small frag of this from a friend recently, supposedly no one really knows the species, but prove me wrong! He calls it sweet potato pie, obviously a made up name. I thought it was hydnophora or a horn coral. Looks like fungia type texture but encrusting. Any ideas? Thanks guys

It does look like fungia. Not sure. I will try to snap pics of the mother colony, it has completely encrusted a pop can sized rock.

Looks like a fungia/plate to me too. Maybe it dropped and somehow managed to encrust. I don't see how though!
