Hey Fellas!
Need some fresh ideas of how to make an overflow for my new build a 27g. I want to keep it clean and not sure if I want to keep the overflow inside any ideas on how to move it outside the tank?

put a box on the outside just like you would inside. in a acrylic tank the cut slits for water to flow out, idk if a few holes would do the same? its definitely do-able

Yea that's whats I was thinking. I am not sure how I want the inside to look. I know that I want it to be real slick and clean I want to use 1" x2 bulkhead. I really want a zero look of equipment ie overflows, pumps.

That does look nice but I'm not sure but if that drain grate gets covered u might have a problem. Y don't u contact runningnreefing in rc. He drilled and made my overflow box for my 27g cube.

Yep the way I have my box is inside the tank and when ur looking straight at the tank u really don't notice to much. Also my box is a bit bigger cuz I had a elbow installed in it. Without an elbow the box will b smaller.

I would really like to see a picture if you have it. I am also trying to incorporate a close loop. I want a column of LR supported by PVC.

Thanks Dre for everything I have big plans for this build.

Dre thank you again for everything! I have real big ideas for this build. I want to incorparate a column of LR built around PVC which well be part of a closed loop. Wish I could post my sketches. That's why I am looking for a clean way to install a overflow!

That's the beananimal overflow right? And it's up to u but wouldn't the box take up alot of space inside the tank?
