75gal Stocking Options

Upgrading from a 29g mixed reef to a 75g. I'll be drilling the tank and running a 29g custom sump/fuge (DIY) with a ETSS 800 Skimmer (rated for 400gal) so I'm not too worried about bio-load, 100-150lbs of LR, 2x 250w Reef Optix HQI Pendants with 2x 110w VHO super actinics. I'm interested in some variety/coloring/movement.

Looking for more input regarding stocking my options, I've done some research (along w/ talking to other reefers) and compiled the list below.

By no means am I planning and stocking this entire list, its just an 'interest' list. Please feel free to comment and/or recommend others. "*" indicates types I've very interested in.

LIVESTOCK OPTIONS:
Tangs (Just One)
**Kole
*Regal
-Yellow
-Tomini
Yes, I know the regal would eventually outgrow, but I can purchase a very small one and watch it grow for a few years.

Wrasses (Several)
-Lunare
**Flasher
-Pygmy
-Leopard (Future -need sufficient pod population)
-Lightning
-Solar (For Flatworms)

Dwarf Angels (1 or 2, both would be added at the same time)
**Flame
-BiColor
-Coral Beauty
I understand that angels CAN nip coral, but almost all the reefers I've talked to said that they have not had issues (its hit or miss w/ the particular fish). Again, oversized skimmer allows for extra feeding.

Others
***Orange/White & Black/White Osc. Clowns (transferred from 29gal)
-Blue/Green Chromis
*Bartlett Athias
*Mandarin (Future: Need sufficient pod population)
-Pygmy Hawkfish (may eat my sexy shrimp?)
**Chalk Bass
-Scooter Blenny (Need sufficient pop population)

Inverts
Obviously the variety of snails from the 29gal. Purchased a CUC from reefcleaners.org -Like usual they provided me with MUCH more than I ordered
***3 Sexy Shrimp (moved from 29gal)
***2 Peppermint Shrimp (moved from 29gal)
-Coral Banded Shrimp
-Skunk Cleaner Shrimp
Will they all 'get along' since its a 75gal????

-Urchin (maybe)
-Strawberry crabs
-pom pom crabs
-Halloween Hermits

That's was I was thinking w/ the Urchin - I don't glue frag plugs in place that often (maybe I should fix that lol). But hermits/snails can push/knock them off too if I don't.

Got my sexy shrimp (well 3 of them) from MCF. It was nice in the 29gal they always stayed together, and usually up front/visible.

Not sure about the Regal or Tomini.. Might have to look these up for myself :D

Flashers are awesome if you get a pair IMO..

I would go with the Bicolor

The list looks good and you will have a kick *** skimmer anyways.

Regal, I believe is another name for a Blue/Hippo aka Dory. Found the Tomini in another reefer's 75g. Hmm, Kinda like the bi-color - adds some black/blue into the mix. Obviously a cleaner wrasse, but will it also take care of bugs? (flatworms, etc)

Yeah I think the skimmer can handle just about anything. Previous owner said his kid's friend poured a full can of coke into his 75g SPS tank, skimmer went CRAZY, and pulled it ALL out within 20mins.

Will a coral banded eat the sexy shrimp?

If you like the coral beauty would about a potter's?
That's what I'm worried about - Like the size of the coral banded, but don't want him hunting the sexys.
Definitely like the Potter's - Forgot to add him to the list. Just slightly worried as he's listed as an "Expert Only" Fish.

Yeah, Lunare might be tossed out then - Want to keep a variety of shrimp.

my urchin is ok in my 75, but 75% of the poo is from him
In the air... some say they are great cleaners, but then 75% of the poo is from him? lol. Just adds another 'dimension" to the tank.

Haha True.

Alright... Another 'stocking' question. Order of stocking... Most aggressive fish last, so... Angels? (added together). I will have a 10g and 29g OTs so I can house/add acouple fish at a time. Just curious as to what order they should be added. Clowns need to be first as I already have them in the 29gal... Then what order for tang, angels, wrasses, bass chalk, Bartlett Athias, green clown goby, etc.

This is just me based on your last post.

1st Clowns & Clown Goby (might get lost or might become food)
1st or 2nd Bartlett Athias ** Get them to fell good and eat in the DT **
3rd Bass Chalk & Wrasses (depends which ones again)
4th Tang
5th Angels

Thx Dre, that's kind of what I was thinking. Is there an issue w/ the Green clown goby becoming food? That puts me at 10 fishies, most of which can actually be in a 30gal tank... stocked? or still some wiggle room? Still had a pygmy hawkfish (if it leaves my sexy shrimp alone) on the list, as well as a Mandarin down the road...

Coral Banded, peppermint, sexy, and skunk cleaner shrimp all get along with lots of LR?

No experience here with shrimps.. My Alpha thinks it's dinner time when I add one :(
