I don't get the re set recycle part. Idealy you could just remove the rock work that has majanos and put in new rock that will seed/live with the current set up. No need to create a new tank you already have one running.

You can't go wrong with kilz white water proof paint. It's mildew/mold proof also
I've seen a guy use black kind on 3 side wooden box and glass front to make a fresh water tank. No leaks. So us just using it to coat our stands is plenty.

Epoxy will bond to anything and almost seal leaks really.
You know that same epoxy you use to hold frags on to rocks? That same stuff will bond those to pieces. It doesn't have to be fancy just hand mix it with ur fingers and slap it on...
I think it's a hit or miss on all fish getting a taste for coral.

There was some type of algae on the coral that the kole ate and it also took chunks of sps flesh.
I think there's a method to reset the magnet on the dry side. A search on resetting the dry side will yield some results on it stalling or sieze causing stop
