I'm lucky I guess....I'm in west elgin and I get about 70ppm out of the tap. DI resin lasts me a long time! My work is terrible though.....Crystal Lake has about 400-500ppm. Cant drink the water out of the tap at work!

I would go with the 6ft 125 w/corner overflows. I ran one of those for 7yrs and all the tangs did very well. I know it's tempting to go with the 24" depth, BUT i found that i don't like how far it comes out from the wall at that 24". I know that may sound weird, but I like it tighter to the wall

I've always had great luck with 4 peppermint shrimp and a Fox face to be honest. I know it sounds weird to saya foxface helped control them, but the after 8yrs, it passed and that's when i started having issues. I've had more problems with Mojano's then aiptasia tho. Biggest tip.....DONT LET...

Unfortunately, I continued to break down my 125g. :( I'm going to have to downsize as my teenagers schedules are becoming far too busy, which is not allotting the time I need to properly care for the tank. I'm thinking of picking up a smaller tall tank, but we'll see.
