Here is my mixed reef 180 gallon. I have mix of SPS and Chalices. For water movement I use a mag 12 return pump, 3 Vortech MP40s. I use a big skimmer. 40 breeder for refugium. I also run activated carbon. For lighting I use an ATI Sunpower 8x80 watts.

Anyone ever try replacing the center brace with clear acrylic to let more light in? How would u go about this process? I have a 75 gal and thinking of cutting the center brace off.

I'm about to recieve an expensive and very sensitive fish from DD. Does anyone know about their quarantine procedure? Do they treat for ich and other parasites? Can I quarantine in my frag tank just to help recover from shipping or should I do hypo salinity just to be safe?

I have a Harlequin Tusk that I will be unleashing into my reef tank. I know he will eat some of the snails/crabs/shrimps in my tank and should leave the corals alone. I also have a Crocea Clam. Will the Tusk try to make lunch meat of the clam?
