Just received a 57 watt Uv sterilizer for the tank I am running it off a Sicce 3.0 Cant wait to see how it affects the ecosystem of the tank. I bet its going to definitely take care of the Stray cyano. I'm hoping it will reduce algae and clear up the water a bit.

I would drain the tank as much as possible before attempting this to remove as much weight and stress being held up by the supports.

Wow ok welp I’ve only been in the reefing game for about 1.5 years here’s my first tank Now I’m reefing in a Waterbox 270lx

Turns out I had bad luck with the Achilles and it died. Really sucks it was a beautiful fish. I have no idea why it passed it was doing fine eating like a pig and swimming around one minute and dead the next no rhyme or reason that I’ve been able to figure out.

Yea Achilles are tough. He was touch and go for a little bit but after 2 weeks of full copper and then 2 weeks of general cure and by the end of all that he was eating like a pig so I felt comfortable enough to add him. Tons of freshwater dips were also useful.

Added some corals and a regal and Achilles tang today.

Thanks! Thanks I’m working on my setup rn time to see if my pair will lay if they start then I will set up the colony’s and go from there hopefully I will be able to raise some successfully but rn I’m just wanting them to lay eggs. Fingers crossed I will keep y’all updated on my progress
