You have bad batch of salt. Every time you change the water you lower your dkh. I'm using FRITZ blue box salt and ESV B-Ionic as two part. I have been very successful with it.

Check your salt. You might have bad salt. Test dKH on freshly mixed water.

I started with bio cube 32, after 4 months it was to small for me and I upgraded to a bigger tank. If you are new to reefing and not sure if it's for you then this tank is good for beginners. If you are serious about it then go with the biggest tank that you can.

Manual removal works. Just remove every day any asterina sartfish that is close to the surface so you don't stress out fish and corals. After couple months you will see the difference. They are no big deal. Don't do blackouts, fish and corals don't like that.
