Hey there so my phosphates are at about 0.25 ppm so i have some phophate sponge just wondering if i can put it directly into the tank in a mesh bag...or does it have to be in the canister?

So im just curious about a few things! Anyone here use tap water for top offs? those of you who keep water at the ready...What are your cheap effective ways of storing your water?
