So here are some pictures of the 10W 460-480Nm chip light. I plan to try a 20W, 30W, and 50W chip to check it out.

The other chip is 20k-25k 10 watt. I will add pictures of that when I swap the chips
 
Did you guys like the results of these i was thinking of putting 4 of the 30 watt 50/50 on my 110 fish only tank. Do you think that would be enough?
 
That's awesome! I just looked at the 50w 20k kit for $55. Two of those above a 40b would look sweet! Thanks for posting!
 
For those of us (meaning me, lol) who aren't DIY savy, what would you charge to put this together for a fellow reefer? Not interested as of right now, but something to keep in mind.
 
Depending on size and the kits components. I'd likely charge a frag or $20-$50. $50 being multiple channels with 40+ LEDs. Hanging has always been my issue. I hate looking at an unpolished heatsink and fans. Adding optics can be tricky if you soldering isn't up to par. Too much solder on pad won't allow some optics to sit flush.
 
optics require no soldering, the optics for these larger chips attach with RTV. the soldering is stupid simple, you can do this with a cheap $10 radio shack iron. Par reading are meaningless for leds as a comparison but i will take some with the 10w chip i have.
 
I ordered the 50w white/royal blue 20k version with driver, heatsink and fan. Should be here sometime between the 13th and 21st. I'm assuming I will need at least 2 for one 40b, but I wanted to see how they were before ordering 4. The dreamchips look pretty cool. 100w and 50w, 5 channel chips made for reef tanks.
