Well, I have started my first build. Its wet and finally cycling...

Equipment:
Cad Lights 18g Mini II tank
Cad Lights PLS 50 Skimmer
Cad Lights NR-1 Reactor
WP-10
Instant Ocean Reef Crystals
CaribSea Seaflor Special Grade Sand
Cobalt Neo Therm heater
Nanobox mono with Corallux Storm controller and temp probe (being built)

These pictures are pretty lousy, I dont have my light yet.. These are the first of many to come, so bear with me. Im not sure what livestock im going for as of yet, im still planning that out. I want color, I want flow. Probably start off with some Zoas, maybe a frogspawn. I will be taking my time with this build so updates may be few and far between, but I want to do this right and not buy a bunch of crap I may regret later.

Anyway here are some pics.

Very cool man. Slowly is definitely the best way to do it. Nice job with the scape!

Thanks!!

Anyone have any ideas for corals and placement? I know I want some nice (non beginner) zoas, frogspawn etc, but not sure on placement.

I'm going with a nanobox w/coralux controller. Should be in next week so I will be sure to post some updates.

Well i had a little epoxy failure and had to do some minor re-scaping. Nothing Major. I have an Apex coming which im pretty excited about Going to hook it up to my ip webcam and run fusion to keep an eye on it. Im going out of town for a week and have my buddy taking care of the tank, but it will still be nice to have the monitoring capabilities from afar. Is it overkill for this size tank, probably, but as my tanks grow, I will be able to continue using it. Also to me, it will be comforting to be able to actually view my tank from a thousand miles away.
This week, I added two daVinci clowns..They are a load of fun. I believe I have a male and female now as the one with the "spot" is a little bit larger and definitely the boss of the two. I added a narcissus snail as well, but he is under the sand. Im hoping to let things settle a bit, and perhaps add a frogspawn in a few weeks.

here are a couple of pics.
