30 gal nuvo stocking help?

This is my first saltwater tank and I was wondering some opinions on stocking my 30gal nuvo
2 Picasso clowns
Fire fish goby
Bicolor dotty back
Six line wrasse
Flame angel
Coral Banded shrimp
Is this to much for a 30 gallon nuvo any input would be great

IMO yes its to much. Remember you still have to pur LR which will make your space smaller without the LR 5 gallons per fish most likely some fish will pick on other fish due to lack of space.

2 Picasso clowns OK
Fire fish goby OK
Bicolor dotty back agressive as they get bigger.
Six line wrasse will get agressive as they get bigger.
Flame angel will pick on corals
Coral Banded shrimp may not be compatible with the wrasse

Again IMO.

I agree with marty. The clowns and the fire fish will be enough for a 30G. Fire fish are usually shy and will stay somewhat hidden so the clowns probably won't bother it. Dotty backs can be bullies. Do you have a cover for the tank? (Mesh, egg crate, glass?)

Yes I have an egg crate on top. The wrasse was really a toss up if I was going to get one. But if I took that off the list you guys still think it's to much I have 20lb of live rock an 20lb of Sand it took like 25 gallons of water to fill it just finished cycling so just trying to lay out a plan for the next couple months

Coral banded shrimp can get aggressive also in that small of a space. The flame angel will also get to big for that size tank

See both of my lfs told me the flame angel would be fine in that size tank as well as the shrimp I read that the flame angel might get to big but I could find anything in the shrim

What kind of shrimp would you suggest that would be reef safe and not be unhappy

Would you recommend getting one or two of the skunk cleaner shrimp

I usually do pairs of skunk cleaner shrimp they are more active and social in pairs imo. Please stay away from the coral banded shrimp they're cool until you come home and find it with one of your fish in its claws. Yes I've seen it happen. You could possibly do like a pygmy angel but not with the firefish. The firefish is very shy and timid and with such a boisterous fish like an angel it wil either not get to eat or get picked on. Maybe also look into some of the blennies. Good algae cleaners and generally peaceful. Stocking is a very complex process. Its not always as simple as is there enough space. Feeding, personality, and aggression all play a role as well.

Unless you're thinking of a different fish.

Yes in well aware of what live aquaria says. I'm sure you're aware live aquaria is not the end all be all fish bible. I'm giving my opinion based on what I have seen on my experience in the hobby. I know several people who have kept them in nano/biocubes successfully. Especially when the only other fish are two clowns. This is soley my opinion. To each his or her own.

Hey buddy

Nuvo 30 is a sweet tank

I used to have a red hawk fish, a flame angel and 2 clowns in my biocube. Flame angels and cherubs would be fine in a 30 gallon if you get somewhat smaller sized ones and when they grow you have to rehome them.
