3d printed surface skimer attempt for aquaclear

I wanted a surface skim on my aquavclear to get rid of the surface scum. I had to keep cutting down the inlet tube but it works. the socket for the tube was too tight so i soaked it in boiling water and it became really soft and form fitted the Aqua clear tubing.

Looks great, with my birthday next week I have been considering a 3d printer to mess around with. The Home Depot by me has the Maker Bot 5th Gen for $2899. Do you think it's worth that and comes with everything really needed to start printing?

i spent 500 on my kossel mini. its a delta type 3dprinter. tridprinting has parts. its way cheaper than a complete kit.

sure joe. if you want you can design it with tinkercad. https://tinkercad.com just use a caliper in mm to design it. you can send it me and i can print some prototypes
