50w led multi chip for actinics

I needed some actinics for my DT and I didnt want to have to replace the bulbs all the time like my halides. So I went led multi chip 50w on a cpu heat sink with a fan. I only bought 1 chip and I think that is all I need. I only have one chip now but I think I am going to switch over to these. There is a thread on rc of 100 plus pages on them. They have multi chips with epistar leds with blue and white and now the have full spectrum chip that you can control all the colors individually. I have a friend that is just setting up his first reef so I might be giving all the large leathers to him but you are more then welcome to stop by for a beer.

This is what I would use for the whole tank as long as you keep them cool you can over power them

How is the shimmer on these chips compared to a kessil light?

Never seen a kessil in person so not sure. I have halides so I have a lot of shimmer already.

yes you can with a different driver and more chips

that is just the 50w chip by itself
