This afternoon, my dad and I made our third trek out to Advanced Aquatics. Last time we were there, my dad reserved two fish, a Creme Angel and a Papua Dwarf Puffer, to be picked up this weekend. We got there today, and looked around at all of the tanks. First off, I have to say that more than 50% of what I saw today wasn't there two weeks ago. This just shows how often AA gets new stock in, and how it's different than the stock they just sold. The second thing that caught my eye was that the DT in the back was the dirtiest tank in the whole store, and that's only because the coral is so overgrown that the front glass can't be cleaned! Seriously though, all of the stock tanks were spotless, and every fish looked perfectly healthy, despite a few nipped fins on the heiniochuses. I honestly couldn't have pointed out a single thing wrong with any one of the fish. Now onto the coral. There was a pretty good selection of softies, but it was definitely one upped by the LPS selection. I in fact had to grab a nice 3" platygyra colony that I stumbled upon. There were some nice chalices, some frogspawn that was VERY purple, some hammers, and a couple of nice echinatas. The SPS was insane, and there were probably more than 100 maricultured mini-colonies. I don't know how they do it, but all of them were at least as nice as the nicest mari-mini-colonies from other local stores. To top it off, there was an incredible purple scroll coral for a great price.

Only adding to today's experience, Glenn was more than happy to chat it up, for some 90 minutes! While some store owners are strictly business, Glenn is not. While some store owners are hobbyists way over their head, preaching their opinion as fact, Glenn is not. He is one of my favorite store owners, explaining his husbandry while listening to yours. He is more than honest in explaining his sources for livestock, and is also more than fair with pricing. I was caught between two or three items at the store, explaining that I didn't want to spend all of my money, and I wasn't pressured for a second to do so. In fact, I was advised to take the cheaper of my final two options, as the coral was rarer than the fish I wanted. In the end, I got both. :D

All in all, I had a great afternoon over at Advanced Aquatics, getting some great fish and coral. I got a trio of Lyretail Anthias and my Platygyra colony, while my dad got his Creme Angel, his Papua Dwarf Puffer, and a Blue Tang. Needless to say, Glenn, I'll be back in soon.

Ben I appreciate your kind words we're hear to help people, I don't have all the answers and don't pretend to, but we will share what we can. Let me know how everything is doing thanks once again. Glenn
