With my upgrade starting to take shape I was wondering if anyone has a hydra 52. I currently have the standard hydra over my 24 inch tank. I have been trying to decide over a 93 cube 30x30x24 shoul I do one hydra 52 or 2 standard hydras.

Thanks

My guess is 2 Hydra 26's. I have 2 regular hydras over my 57 gallon and its barely enough par.

i have a single hydra 52 over my RSM130D. Using Director to control it. I think it works quite well so long as you use a cable from router to Director. Otherwise I always lost connection to Director wirelessly. As for the light itself, it's more than enough for my SPS-dominant small 34 gallon tank. blues/violet are at 100% but white I can only go up to 50% until sps tips and some lps start bleaching.

He seemed to like it. I'll ask him today if he's running the same thing on his 180. Or we will see if he will chime in with his opinions. 1000rrstunna

ANARCHY

I'd run 2 hydra 52 over the 93 cube or two standard hydras at a minimum If it's a sps tank... I have 3 hydra 52 over my 180 and I think I could use more light.. One won't do jack unless your growing directly under it

All i know is i hate the director. I got home from work today and all the lights were off for the 3rd time in the last week. I even have it plugged directly to my router

Do you have a pic of when you had the 2 regulars over your 93? I am a little hesitant on dropping $850 on the 2 - 52s if I can snag another regular hydra or two for $250 a piece and be just as fine.

I have the normal controller and have not had any issues. I have had the lights running for about a year or so now without issue.
