Alistar's 7.5 gallon Reef

Hello everybody! I have decided to post the progress on my new nano-build. I just moved to downtown Chicago and set up the new tank on the 19th. I am not sure what kind of fish yet, maybe a snowflake pair... maybe a captive bred Fridimani? Not sure :a32: Coral focus will be Z&P's. Using the K.I.S.S. method for this tank since I am good about husbandry. No skimmer is kinda freaking me out, but we'll see how it goes!
Tank: ADA 30-C rimless cube (12X12X12) 7.5 gallons
Lights: Orphek PR-25UV PAR 38 LED bulb
Water flow: Vortech MP 10ES (however it's headed for repairs; temporarily replaced with a Maxi-Jet 1200)
Heater: Ebo-jager 50w (Also being replaced, with a Fluval Edge 25w)
Substrate: Aragonite
Temp 79 degrees

5 lbs of cured live rock have been in the tank since day 1

Changing out the heater with the Fluval Edge. Hopefully it will do its job since the ambient temperature of the tank is 72-74 degrees. The MJ 1200 is doing a fine job other than being cumbersome in the small tank, and I am hoping to have my Vortech back soon.

Why not just a Koralia nano 250? Overkill even for SPS in that tiny tank! Id imagine accidentally turning the Vortech up too high one day and splashing half the water out of the tank...
