If you buy a trio of female Anthias on DD will one of them become male or does this only happen with certain species? Also, will these fish stick together in a tank or will they stay away from each other.
Usually one or more of the dominant anthias will turn in to male with time. All species do that. Most anthias in home aquariums form very loose schools, not like in nature. So sometimes they will swim together and some times not.
