Aqueon Overflow Plumbing and Loc-line

I have an Aqueon DT with dual overflows. When plumbing my return I used a 1" to a T with slip to thread adapters at each end of the T. Loc-line connects to each side and out the cutouts of the overflow.

Because of the size of the T and where it comes up from the bulkhead below I don't have much room on one side between the T and the edge of the overflow/cutout. The pipe had to come to a height slightly more than the overflow to come straight out the cutout. This prevents me from putting a level top over the overflow.

How have you plumbed your return out of your overflow? I don't necessarily need to use Loc-line but it conveniently allows me to move return flow wherever I need it.

I only have single lines from a return. If you split, you lose flow. I am not sure if splitting is a common practice or not..

I have 4 bulkheads/2 overflows. Return comes up through 1 bulkhead and splits at the top of the overflow where I have a T. I'm using a Red Dragon 3 pump. No problem with flow whatsoever.
