Came home and somehow my Solon wrasse I've had for months or over a year managed to jump out of my tank, I even have screens! Sheesh, add a wrasse, lose a wrasse :(

Hopefully mcf has some of those nice blue sided wrasses left, maybe I'll look for a Scott's.

RIP little buddy

The standard screens everyone has built, using the screen door frames, they are fairly heavy, but he was pretty big for a fairy wrasse, thus powerful, my guess is he hit it just right :(

Sorry for your lose it happend to my yellow coris too a few weeks ago he is 3" long and for some reason he was able to jump but end up ontop of the screen and died.

Man that sucks. Makes me wonder if there is a better way to secure the screen

yeah, I have 3 screens, I'm thinking about maybe trying some old koralia magnets that are fairly heavy to weigh them down on the corners, see if that works. I once had a cortez wrasse in an old Oceanic 95G FOWLR that managed to gnerate enough power to blast open the glass top and get out. If you recall the old Oceanics were build really well, the glass tops were extra thick.

This guy was the king of the tank for the 3 wrasses and no other fishes ever chased him, so I was sorta shocked he jumped out.

Take em off! Maybe the wanted fresh air...lol. I've been lucky enough to have been sitting next to the tank the one time my Clown Wrasse jumped out and was able to scoop him from the floor and throw him back in the tank. Other than that I haven't had wrasses jump out and I have no screens (knock on wood!) It's funny cause I've actually had clownfish jump out!

My Scotts jumped out couple of months ago. I am not sure how it was able to jump since it was so fat. I miss that stupid thing. It was a people watcher.

I have a full mesh screen and just had a wrasse jump the other day. It went through egg crate and jumped out the external overflow
