Best dosing setup

get the all in one doser with 3 heads (bm, or chinese) . save the rkl/apex for your lights, pumps, reactors. i dose alk, cal, and vinegar. im pretty happy with it and i diy my 2 part. magnesium can be dosed manually, vinegar is more important.

Ditto..I have the same one. It is a Bubble Magnus knockoff. Search for "Marine Color" dosing pump.

Magic Marine or Marine Color are all good pump. It's serve me over 4 years without problem. Mine is Magic Marine.

Would it make sense to use a controlled unit like that with a controller?

nope, i feel that separate devices/controllers are best if one system fails. if you ran everything through your rlk/apex controller and it take a dookie, then you are SOL. but if its all separate then that one thing fails and you could work through it until you fix/replace it.
