I just got a brown diatom algae bloom in my 30g cube tank thats been running for about over 5 or 6 months.. Was wondering whats the best way or solution.. Water changes, carbon, gfo or is there another way u take care of the issue?

Before you do Biopellets call me....

You are going through a cycle.. Do WC and let it run it's course.. I had this also in the frag tank with new sand & rock

I ran GFO and did WC.. Bam all gone!!!

Do u thnk my 6 month old tank is going through another cycle again?

Was actually of thinking of using this reactor to run gfo or bio pellets.. What do u thnk

You could do GFO in that reactor. You could do Bio-Pellets if you buy the NPX screens. That being said I agree with Lil BamBam that you should try all of the simpler solutions before throwing money at the problem. You could also try Dr. Tim's Waste Away bacteria.
