Biopellets Clumping

So my older/used up biopellets are very small and are clumping at the top of my reactor. All of the larger biopellets are tumbling fine. Every couple of days I turn off the reactor and try to get the smaller ones un-clumped from the top by shaking it but it appears they are settling into larger clumps. We are only talking about a small portion of the total biopellets in the reactor.
Will this be an issue for my tank?

Mine do the same thing from time to time. I wouldn't worry about it.

The only issue is if they clog something and reduce flow. As long as your main batch of pellets is tumbling you're good.
