Brown almost burnt looking stuff appeared

Tank is a 5 gallon fluval evo. It's been running for 6 weeks. This stuff just appeared. What is it? And do I need to get rid of it?
It's on the live rock and heater

Your tank is still pretty new...looks to me like diatoms, it will eventually be gone after a while.

My tank has something like that and the tank is running well for 6-9 years. No idea what it is but I used a toothbrush, got it off the life rock one per week before water changes, it went away. It may pop up every now/then but is controlled. Fish doesn't seem to mind it. Crabs don't eat it. Maybe lawnmover blennies may eat it?
