hey guy.... i just lost my morish idol.... watched it die... took about 40 min. i felt horrible cause i couldn't do anything.. Trust me, considered CPR hahaha.

well the night was going well... all fish swimming normally... like always, and i decided to feed green nori.. (rod's nori) the fish went crazy for it.. blu tang, yellow, morish. Well after 2 min i look back in the tank, and i find my morish on the floor breathing really really hard.. :( didn't know what happened... then i watched it die :(

now, this is the second fish i lost where i did not suspect anything wrong! i mean swimming just fine, then dead. first one was a huge fat naso tang.. i always joked after the fish passed, that i killed it, by giving it diabetes .. .made him too fat. but now this one too... i know my fish are fat! i feed them well. but too much NORI? seriously... thats healthy in my book!

anyone else that might have similar story... i don't know the anatomy of the fish, but i am assuming he choked on NORI ... weird... i was begging the blue throat jaw fish to give my morish CPR or heimlich maneuver, but no luck :pout:

well now my morish idol is  and i am not too happy that he left...

Dude this stinks, maybe it swallowed a large amount of NORI?Mine has done this a few times and goes down to the sandbed and breathes heavily,i now tear the seaweed into very manageable pieces and soak it in water before i feed them.He probably choked on it.

yeah.... well i learned my lesson, no more dry nori... from now on... just mushed up, soft chewy food for them. :)
