Chinese black box LED replacement

Has anyone changed their LEDs in the black box besides the replacement LEDs they come with? When I got in on the group buy here, they didn't ship the replacements on the first shipment. When the second package came in they were all there but the guy who did the GB lived too far for me to go back again and wouldnt mail them out to me. I don't have any burned out and they are 3.5 years old. Im just looking to change some of the colors.

Any idea what voltage can be swapped out? Anyone done one?
 
Which ones worked the best for you? I'm running the Kratos layout, but it seems I'm losing that "pop" I had when they were new.

It's pretty easy, but you need a soldering iron. You can get diodes from Reefbreeders or Amazon. I like the Royal blues and warm whites. Warm whites give off a yellowish color, so you don't need to use green/reds......at least thats my theory.

Everyone's dif i had mainly blue with like five whites and few of these red/blue chips combo but everyones taste is different
 
Thanks for the info guys. Pretty handy with a soldering iron. I haven't bought LED s since DIY computer cases and water cooling came out.
