Cleaning contained pumps

I have a PCX GenX-30 return pump on my 150 gallon. It was set up about a year and half ago and I have never cleaned the pump. It still pumps well, nice and quiet, and gets as warm as it did when it was brand new.

Just curious if there is even a way to open it up and clean the internal parts or if people just leave them alone.

You can pull the front pump area off and clean the impeller and the casing out,The rest of it isn't serviceable but i take mine apart about every 6 months and clean it and check the impeller blades.
