Hey guys and gals i have a pair of platnum clowns as many know the last week ive noticed the female wont let the male even close to her or the nems so he sleeps by the overflow box which i pulled him out of this morning she doesnt beat him up but but shoves her weight around and he just goes what should i do i love yhe pair but if they dont get along should j try and find another male clown or should i just keep a single female in the tank thanks

i have a pair of Picasso clowns they were doing the same thing for a year. I switched the tank they were in now the are a happy couple. just my experience .

My female (occy) went berserk and started fighting everything. The group suggested rearranging. I flipped and rotated one rock and everything is back to happy family. Worth a try.

This happens when a fish tranfers to female. Kinda like puberty. Hormones drive em nuts. Put the male back. He is learning how to handel her aggression. If cowers and run to much they will not pair well. He will learn to stand and fight (submissively). Make sure all overflows are protected and COVER YOUR TANKS!!!!!!Watch for frayed fins. If the fins are getting hurt that will lead to scales torn which equals death. Hope this help. Anyone can always call if you need help pairing. Or any clown related problem or whatever. 708-715-0424.
