Clowns in my tank?

Id like to get a pair of clowns in my tank, but I'm unsure of how well they'd do with my other large and aggressive fish. I'd qt them and then use an acclimation box for a week or two after they go into the DT. I think my fish would leave them alone once the curiosity dwindles.

I'd like a pair of platinums or something funky like that. I think I'd need to buy adults? I'm not into maroons even though they would probably be the toughest. Any thoughts on this? If you think it would work, where is the best place to get an adult pair?
 
What type of fish do you already have? Will the clowns have a nem for protection? Clowns are very hardy and can keep their own, but depending on what size/type fish you are talking about, would depend on that answer.

Adult Emperor probably 2-3 years old
5 year old lemon peel
11 year old Picasso Trigger
6 year old Niger Trigger
6 year old PBT
6 Year old Naso

I do not have a nem but I have some really big (four-six inch diameter) hairy mushrooms. I tried a carpet nem a while ago, but my angels nipped at it and it started looking bad. I gave to Lunacris after I nursed it back to health in my sump.
 
I will let someone else comment on the triggers and large angels as I have had neither, but my tangs don't even know my clowns exist. Hopefully someone who has had both can comment.
 
I had a picasso trigger with my maroon clowns. There was never an issue. Only issue I ever had was with a stars and stripes puffer. It would nip the clowns fins.
 
I honestly think the clowns would be ok. I had a pair in with my Emperor, and triggers, and they were fine. Like Ted said, puffers may go after clowns, but I think your fish would leave them alone, as long as the clowns arent tiny.
 
Ok. Thanks guys. You've confirmed what I was thinking. Now where do I get an awesome pair of adult clowns?
