What do you have your controller do for you? This would be my 1st controller ever.

who is running the Neptune Apex? the Jr?

What would the Apex do that the Apex Junior wont do?

I have an Apex Jr with a dimming module and breakout box.

It controls
- my lights based on the season table. My 14 bulb T5 fixture has 3 power cords so I have the controller turn on the lights one "power cord" at a time to simulate a increasing light intensity.
- ATO
- Kalk dosing
- Variable LEDs (on different tanks)
- temperature
- humidity via a exhust fan
- feeding mode (turns off sertain powerheads)

It monitors and alerts me about:
- temperature
- pH
- water on floor
- power outages
- sump water level

I run the full aquacontroller on my tank. To be honest, the best thing it does for me is simply make automation of my tank simpler. I don't have to climb under my stand anymore to pull a plug to turn off a pump.

I can control the whole tank from my android phone, computer, or even just get email updates when the system detects a problem.

Here are my long term plans for it. Not fully implemented

-4 AI Sol LED fixtures on morning & evening ramps & moon lighting
-Heaters on controller and set to mimic seasonal temp variations
-ATO (Future, currently using JBJ and need floats)
-Calcium reactor (Future)

I also recently upgraded my 4 korelias to 2 MP40s, and I like the controller included with those so I don't use the aquacontroller.
