Cycles

So had a 72 moved all to 120.
Used all my livestock fro. 72 . Used old sand
Rinsed .it some . . Added 2 new bags of sand . All fish doing fine but losing corals fast . Added a bottle of turbostart 900 . Before added it did bottle of stability. And a bottle prime . Have brown stuff growing everywhere.
Do I try a water change . Do I just let run its course and hope like hell do t lose it all . What ha e guys done in past when upgraded tanks with tank full of corals .... thanks for any advice ...

Scott,
I am betting there was a mini cycle started in the transfer. If it was me I would add another bottle of Turbostart. I used 4 bottles in my 300 DT. I went through a 5-7 day period with some brown crap on the sand but it went away quickly. You also changed lighting if I remember correctly. Are you losing the corals to a light problem? Too much LED too fast? Or is the brown covering the corals? Anything else new that may be upsetting the tank?

Browns covering the corals . N ya I turned led down to 30 percent. Just bought new test kit and all looks great . Just corals not happy o
Ph little low . 7.4 but everything else is 0 .

What percentage were the lights at when you reduced them to 30%. I am betting its all light related.

Not remembering what you changed over from I bet that was alittle high to start. I have started mine at 40%. So far so good but only been a few days. I plan on uping them 5% a week to acclimate them.
As for the brown covering them. Maybe a powerhead or turkey baster to blow them off till it runs its course.
