Daydreaming about upgrading.

LINK HERE. Has anyone seen this one in real life? It's good looking, but I really want front to back depth greater than 18 inches.

I'm just starting a preliminary search for a distant upgrade. I want to stay less than 90 and I need it to be centerpiece worthy as I will be building a basement around this when we find a new house that works. This is basically just daydreaming, but I would imagine our illustrious members have an opinion or two about tank selection. I really think I am partial to glass as well, but certainly open to discussion. :hungry:

its a great looking tank for sure but imo being so clean and wasting it with the return and drain hoses on the back wall stinks but theres really no way around it wit that set up unless you plumbed it behind that wall which would be cool

I am planning on a false wall with everything behind in a fish room, but that is a really good point. Don't want to pay for looks and then tear it up.

yeah, I need a DEEP discussion on this folks. I have a wide low and deep mangrove beach into reef in my head. How do I make that happen?

LOL OK, find me a house south of libertyville, east of barrington and north of the city that my wife loves and thinks is an AMAZING deal. Then I can get going.

You could throw a dart at a map right now and find something. It's a buyers freakin dream right now. If you guys can't find a deal on a house in that general of a search area you just aren't looking. I've been finding amazing places I want to buy and I'm not even actively searching.

Trust me beard, if it were just me I'd have bought one already. Of course if it were just me I'd be perfectly happy with this house and I'd be actively looking for a new tank.

What companies have you guys heard of locally that will make a custom glass tank?

U don't want to do a custom tank? U can go deep dimensions, closed loop system where u cant see drain and return. My tank I'm getting will b 30" deep, but I'm not doing closed loop.

I was probably posting at the same time. What company are you using. Has anyone seen the "volcano tank" on YouTube? I'll try to find the link later but it is sort of the shape I am talking about.

Do you have pics of either (sounds like they might be on order)? Also, do you mine me asking what you paid for them? (feel free to PM if you prefer)

That 48x30 sounds sweet. Heck, they both sound like interesting shapes.
