Digitate hydroids?

Who has or has had them? Do you care about them? Do you try to get rid of them or do you just let them be? Did they go away on their own?

I've been noticing these in my sump, but not my display. The haven't caused any problems, so I don't really care about them.

Thoughts?

Had them when tank was new, still have a few here and there. Never caused any problem or concern IMO. I just let them be and over time they reduced greatly in numbers.

when i went fallow for a while these things went nuts and were everywhere , once fish were back in i dont see them , never seemed to hurt anything

This probably explains why they are only in my sump and not my DT. No fish in the sump. I'm not worried about them at all, I just don't want to pass them on if they are thought of as a pest. That said, my chaeto ball is big right now and in need of a trim......Who wants some chaeto with hydroids on it, ha!

I had the same problem, They were only in my sump, but once I started feeding reef chili they multiplied and not are in the DT. Once there is alot of food in the water column they will multiply :(
