DIY kit repair

So I built a kit using "Heatsink Plaster / Thermal Adhesive" and I have 6 leds damaged by salt.

Is there any trick to removing these glued LEDs when I replace them?

Use a screwdriver and wedge em off. It's easier to wedge it under and POP it off then scraping them. U will likely leave adhesive on heatsink that will have to be ground off. Good luck.

That or needlenose pliers and a twist usually work. Blade the excess paste and proceed
