doser setup questions

I just picked up a used doser and have some questions on where to place containers.
First off my sump is in the basement, not in the stand.
Do the containers need to be below the water level in the sump?
Containers above water level but below doser.
space wise it works out best for me to have containers above sump with doser above them then the output hose to the sump.
would I have to worry about potential siphoning?
How does everybody else set theirs up?

My containers under the doser same on floor with the sump. I am not concern about siphoning much. You may need the stop valve (small ones) to prevent the liquid come back into the container.

Should be ok to put it anywhere just keep in mind that having it level with each other will be the most efficient, meaning don't have one or the other 10' above or below each other

If the doser is higher than the container you shouldn't have any issues.
