EcoPico Restart

I've been out of the hobby for awhile but was hoping to restart my 5 gallon EcoPico tank up with some easy corals. I had middling success with this when I last tried years ago -- tank seemed to get overrun by algae and the corals didn't thrive. For those with a similar tank, what's working for you? Not sure if I still have the original EcoPico lights lying around, but pretty sure I have an MP10 and a kessel somewhere so waterflow and lighting should be good (maybe too strong.)

Algae, with small systems and little filtration (I’m guessing) sounds like more water changes and / or less feeding would help.

I used to run a 3g JBJ Pico sexy shrimp tank with an AI Prime. That tank was a success solely due to the Finnex HOB fuge I ran, I grew TONS of macro algae and my water was spotless. If you're interested I still have that fuge.

But you should be fine with the light and flow if you keep the MP10 turned wayyyyy down or run the tank bare bottom.
