This EarthCam camera lets you peer into a Peregrine nest on the roof of Midwest Generation's power plant in Waukegan, Illinois. Field Museum scientist and director of the Chicago Peregrine Falcon Program, Mary Hennen, and her team have launched this online expedition to study falcons. Over the last 20 years, Mary and her fellow team members have helped to successfully reintroduce the federally endangered Peregrine Falcons back into the Midwest.

Thanks for sharing this. I thought I had seen one a couple years ago near Fox Lake.

Just saw a pretty cool clip on Discovery the other night. It was part of the North America series.

I couldn't help but laugh because there's a part where the falcon totally jacks up a group of pelicans flying too close to her nest. It was pretty awesome lol!
 
She warned them and they didnt listen. ;-))

Did you watch the video on the News Sun website? How would you like to be the guy with the hardhat and broom??
