I am looking for more advanced filtration for my 10g reef and have an idea for a sump that I would like some advise with. Would I be able to attach an overflow to my 10g leading to a fuge underneath that is made out of a fluval spec or an aquean evolve. My idea is for the water to pass through a filter sock on its way in the sump and the main compartment of the Evolve tank is just a fuge with some macro algae, rock, and sand. Then once it passes through the fuge compartment it flows over the baffle, gets sucked into the return pump, and goes back into the main 10g tank. Does this idea sound viable? Is it a huge waste of money? Any input is appreciated. Thanks.
