Flat Worms

I bought couple frags from local LFS but when I looked closely at home I saw Flat Worms on them. I still keep them in bags. Don't want to infest my tank. Is there 100% sure method to get rid of those? Thanks.

Please share the name of the lfs as Dave mentioned above. It allows everyone here to be cautious when purchasing from the place.

You don't need to name the store you need to dip your coral it happens the store I'm sure got it from their whole sale store which got it from the ocean so let's blame god.

Assume every store has em. That's the only way to be safe. Everything is from the ocean, so pests will always come in.
start using coral dips and quarantine in a separate tank, so you can do repeat dips without contaminating your tank. sometimes you don't get them all in one dip.

lol ...wow

we should all do what gomebad says after all you should have researched it ... its your fault lol

seriously hope all is well .... I also have some reveve bro if you want to bring them to my house we can dip them .. or you can get the revive ... coral rx and for the nasties use bayer

pm me if you need help

no lets blame the devil after all god wants whats best for your tank....

It's also just a heads up to the store. It doesn't have to be a "your store sucks" as much as a warning that maybe they need to be careful about their own livestock so they don't lose a ton either.

I can't figure out why naming a store is somehow damaging to them. All it does is let them know they have a potential problem and it is just a reminder to everyone that its a potential problem.

I would lean towards it being Tro....tics....lol

Peroxide worked for me when I was grabbing stuff from a tank I knew had the super flat flatworms (as opposed to planaria).

Sorry for not replaying right away guys. I was so busy. I keep corals in QT
still.. Did couple dips. I keep eye on them. Yes, You right, that's the store.

Ive seen stuff on corals at every single store ive been to . Good luck killing these things. If they get bad in u tank its a struggle . If they get in huge numbers and u kill em all at once u crash u system from all the worms dyeing. I seen em in a tank buy the thousands looked like conffetti was all over rocks. We should all dip but we dont always do and dipping dont always stop everything cause it dont kill eggs. And settibg up a whole tank to qt corals with good skimmers and lights ? I been to alot of peoples houses ive never seen someone qt corals who has room for a complete set up . Plus if i had that set up it would quicklt go from qt to a extra dt in few days. Lol

+1 Joe.

Plus cut off any maricultuted base the coral comes with. It holds eggs and protects pests from the bayer.
