Freshly mixed low alkalinity. Reef crystals

I finally figured out my low all problem. I checked my newly mixed water and it has a level of 6DKH. I use a 30 gallon brute to do my mixing and a external pump the circulates the water from top to bottom. Can anyone think of something I'm doing wrong? It was mixing for around 48 hours before the test was taken

That may be a bad batch...because reef crystal is known for their high alk readings. Maybe cross check you readings with your lfs.

this is a ongoing problem. I mix everything in the basement and there is a lid on the container. Do I need aeration while mixing? I thought it may the test kit but I just tested with a brand new Hannah meter. Thanks for the quick response

I'm going to say its a bad batch because I have always and still currently using IN RC and always get high readings across the board.
